CM felicitates 8 retired teachers from Khamdong block at SAKSAM Samaroah 2023

Gangtok, On May 24, Shri PS Golay, the Chief Minister of Sikkim, presented citations to eight retired teachers from Khamdong Block at an esteemed event held at NB Bhandari Government Auditorium, Tadong, Gangtok. Sikkim Sangram Prashad, two times Sikkim State Election winning regional party

Sikkim Sangram Parishad, regional political party in Sikkim was formed in 1984, when NB Bhandari, leader of Sikkim Janta Parishad dissolved his old party to form a new one. The SSP Party went on to win two state elections in 1984 and 1989 - winning all 32 seats in the house.  After losing two consecutive state elections to Sikkim Democratic Front, Bhandari merged SSP with Indian National Congress and became the President of Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee (SPCC) in 2004. Bhandari later in 2013 revived SSP again. After the death of NB Bhandari in 2017, his wife Dil Kumari Bhandari became the President of Sikkim Sangram Parishad. India’s longest serving Chief Minister gunning for a 6th term in office

Files his nomination from Namchi and Poklok Kamrang Namchi, March 25: India’s longest serving Chief Minister, Shri Pawan Chamling filed his nomination today in Namchi, South Sikkim for his candidature in the upcoming elections. Shri Chamling is contesting from Namchi Singithang and from Poklok Kamrang in the forthcoming Assembly elections. Chamling, who has been serving the people of Sikkim since 1994, is the longest serving CM of India and is seeking a record sixth term for his party, Sikkim Democratic Front ( SDF ) in the upcoming election.
