VP Singh, the then Prime Minister of India had visited Sikkim in 1990 a few months before his fall from PM post. He lost the vote of no confidence when BJP had withdrawn support. NB Bhandari was the Chief Minister of Sikkim during that time. The above photographs were taken at Gangtok found on the website of ‘My Old Arndt Lilley’. VP Singh was at office from 2 nd December 1989 till 10th November 1990. His prime ministerial tenure lasted for 343 days. He died on 27 November 2008, at the age of 77.

Sikkim Sangram Parishad, regional political party in Sikkim was formed in 1984, when NB Bhandari, leader of Sikkim Janta Parishad dissolved his old party to form a new one. The SSP Party went on to win two state elections in 1984 and 1989 - winning all 32 seats in the house.  After losing two consecutive state elections to Sikkim Democratic Front, Bhandari merged SSP with Indian National Congress and became the President of Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee (SPCC) in 2004. Bhandari later in 2013 revived SSP again. After the death of NB Bhandari in 2017, his wife Dil Kumari Bhandari became the President of Sikkim Sangram Parishad. From my father's album : DELHI VISIT 1978      NOW     The Teen Murti Bhavan (Teen Murti House) is the former residence in New Delhi, India of the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. He stayed there for 16 years until his own death on 27 May 1964. The house is named after the Teen Murti (literally "three statues") Memorial by British sculptor, Leonard Jennings, which stands on the road junction in front of its extensive grounds. The memorial comprises life-size statues of three soldiers, and was built in 1922 in the memory of the Indian soldiers from three Indian princely states, namely Jodhpur State, Hyderabad State and Mysore State who fought the World War I alongside the British 15th Imperial Service Cavalry Brigade in Haifa, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire. From my father's album : DELHI VISIT 1978 NOW The National Gandhi Museum or Gandhi Memorial Museum is a museum located in New Delhi, India showcasing the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. The museum first opened in Mumbai, shortly after Gandhi was assassinated in 1948. The museum relocated several times before moving to Raj Ghat, New Delhi in 1961.
