Dongeythang Primary School's Annual Day Celebrations

December 12, Singtam : Dongeythang Primary School celebrated its Annual Day joyfully and enthusiastically. The highlights included the distribution of felicitations, mementoes, certificates, and cultural and sports events. Shri Suresh Kumar Tamang , President of Singtam Nagar Panchayat, and Shri Uttam Pradhan , a Cinestar and Sikkim State Awardee , were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively. Other distinguished guests present on the occasion included Shri Sherap Dorjee Bhutia , President of CLC ; Smt. Dhan Maya Sharma ; Smt. Inauguration of New School Building and Children Park at Dongeythang Primary School

July 26, 2023 : The Dongeythang Primary School witnessed a momentous event as Balaram Adhikari, Zilla Adkshak of Gangtok District, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the new school building along with the 17000 ft Foundation gifted Children Park and Digital Lab. Hera Devi Adhikari, Government Contractor, were also felicitated during the event. One-roomed School building of Upper Pachak Primary School inaugurated

  From the office of the Joint Director Sub-Divisional Education Office Rangpo Pakyong District  Pakyong, August 25: Shri K B Chettri -Joint Director, Rangpo Subdivision Education Department inaugurated the newly constructed, one-roomed School Building of Upper Pachak Pry. School today, which was constructed by the SMC and by Community participation to accommodate the students of kindergarten. In order to thank those who have contributed physically and financially, the School has organised a short thanksgiving program. Shri K B Chettri addressed the gatherings and also extended thanks to Shri Bhopal Rai, the School land donor and thanked all the members of SMC and the public as well for their generous contribution to constructing the school building. No Smoking Day observed at Sakyong Chisopani JHS

31.05.22: No Smoking Day was observed at Sakyong Chisopani JHS with talks on social issues affecting society. Present on occasion were the School’s staff and students, members of Chisopani GPUs, members of SMCs, guardians and others. Rohit Raj Maharaj, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister to Sikkim had graced the occasion as the chief guest cum resource person for the anti-drug campaign. The Advisor gave important lessons on moral values, he echoed on making 'afno gau aafai banau'. A short slogan rally was organised that was participated by the students carrying placards displaying messages on anti-drugs. The students of the school also presented welcome prayer songs in Nepali and English. SB Gurung, SHO, Singtam Police Station spoke on different issues related to POCSO Act and cybercrime. Farewell program organized at Sakyong Chisopani JHS

March 6, 2022: Two retired teachers and two transferred teachers were given farewells at Sakyong Chisopani JHS. LN Sharma and Geeta Pradhan, the retired teachers who had served the school for the last fifteen and eight years were felicitated for their dedicated services towards the education department.   Similarly, Satish Chandra Pradhan, Headmaster and Sushma Pradhan, PPT cum Yoga Instructor who was transferred to Saureni JHS and Middle Aritar Primary School were also presented with mementos. International Mother Language Day observed at Sakyong Chisopani JHS

21.02.22: International Mother Language Day was observed at Sakyong Chisopani JHS. Trishna Dulal, GT Arts spoke about the importance of the day. She demonstrated the word ‘Namaste’ is used in the Nepali language to greet someone. The gathered students replaced the word Namaste in their respective native languages. Anu Gurung, GT, Arts, and Suraj Subba, GT, Maths were the other coordinator teachers.

Sakyong Chisopani JHS celebrates Result Day

Singtam, February 18: A short certificate distribution program was held at the school premises. Present on the occasion were the school staff of Sakyong Chisopani JHS, members of SMC, parents, and students. The highlight of the program was the distribution of results, certificates to the students; offering khadas and thanksgiving to the parents of those selected students, and farewell to the outgoing class viii students.  Shital Pradhan, School Incharge gave the school report of 2021. Sikkim schools to open with classes 9 to 12 with covid safety standards

  Preparations have been made to operate schools in Sikkim which have been closed for a long time due to the epidemic. The Department of Education has today issued a departmental circular regarding the normal operation of classes 9 to 12 from September 6. Instructions have been issued to the schools through this circular to operate the schools following the health standards related to COVID. After many months, all the people of Sikkim are waiting to hear the melodious sound of the school bell again.

School Health Club 2021 started at Sakyong Chisopani JHS

20.03.21: Mental Fitness Week was observed at Sakyong Chisopani JHS. On the occasion, the School Health Club for the new session was also announced. Twelve students from classes iv to class viii were selected for the club. Satish Chandra Pradhan, Headmaster of the school offered khadas to Miss Dina Rai - Health Prefect and Master Anikit Thapa – Vice Health Prefect and gave his best wishes to the team. Nirmala Chettri, Binita Pradhan and Shital Pradhan, and the Teacher Incharge of the club. Anamika Gurung, a class vii student who had recently participated at the District Level Junior Olympics was given a prize as an encouragement for her by the School Health Club. National Science Day celebrated at Chujachen SSS

March 1, Singtam : Chujachen Sr. Sec. School observed National Science Day on February 26, the school organised a science exhibition. Nirpath Gurung, Chairman of OBC along with Jag Maya Chettri, Principal CSSS kick started the program. Five schools from around the vicinity were invited, students from Lokdara, Posakay, Gyangyap, Rongli, Rolep and Chujachen exhibited a plethora of scientific models (self made).  Main motive behind this programme was to generate scientific temper among the students that even primary students from feeder school were invited to participate. Those students were taken to Atal Tinkering Lab. The students were told they can visit the lab at any time in future.  Miss Chettri stated that programs like these act as a launch pad for future researchers and scientists. Aadrika Chettri thanks Nutshell Sikkim School Quiz organisers

Aadrika Chettri, Class 8, Mount Zion School, Kidzee Singtam stood 2nd among the 8 Finalists on Nutshell Sikkim School Quiz held online on 4th August 2020. She is the daughter of Arjun Chettri Mijas and Uma Subba. The quiz was held on two rounds – Prelims and the Finals. Ninety-Seven students from different schools of Sikkim had participated in the competition. On the occasion, she has thanked the organizers of the Nutshell Sikkim School Quiz for organizing such a type of quiz competition for the students of Sikkim, especially during this lockdown. We got to learn much-needed educational knowledge through Nutshell, she said.   Aadrika has further thanked her respected Principal, Mt. Five day Annual Function starts at Rongli SS

SINGTAM , DECEMBER 18: Five-day  long Annual Function of Government Secondary School, Rongli starts from today. The highlight of the day was Inter-School Badminton for Secondary Schools and Inter-School Quiz competition for Primary School levels. Damber Pradhan , Area In-Charge 20th Chujachen was the Chief Guest of the day.
