New Heaven Dance Institute re-inaugurated at Rangpo

SINGTAM, DECEMBER 18:   Swaminath Prasad, President, Sikkim Bihari Jagaran Manch inaugurated the New Heaven Dance Academy opposite of Vital Clinic at Rangpo on December 16. Distinguished guests to attend the program included Sanjay Agarwal and Dipak Gurung, members of the Press Club of Sikkim, Johny Rai, Social Media-man from Singtam, Bhim Sharma and Shital Pradhan, teachers, and others.  After a hiatus of four years, New Heaven Dance Institute is making a re-start at Rangpo. Singtam Newar Sangathan felicitates five Singtam Nagar Panchayats; Lakhey Dance makes debut at Singtam SINGTAM: In a gala ceremony, Singtam Newar Sangathan felicitated the five members of the Singtam Nagar Panchayats at Marwari Dharamsala today. By Sanjay Agarwal Miss Puja Sharma of Rangpo Secondary School bagged the Tilottamma Jury Special and the Statesman Photogenic Face Awards 2010. The competition organized by Uttar Annanda Bazar Patrika and The Statesman at Uttar Banga Marwari Bhawan at Siliguri was participated by 12 participants of North Bengal and Sikkim. Siliguri Deputy Mayor Mr. Nantu Paul was the chief guest of the program. The daughter of Mr. CP Sharma and Mrs. Januka Pradhan, Puja Sharma was the youngest participant in the competition. A special program was organized at school to welcome her. Miss Tripii Diyali, from Namchi, has announced the 2nd runners up of the competition.

24th Singtam Basibiyalo feliciates freelancer Journalist Sanjay Agarwal

The 24 th Basibiyalo on April 18th held at Singtam felicitated Sanjay Agarwal, popular freelance journalist assonated with different newspapers in Sikkim and in Siliguri. The Chief Guest of the day, Bijoy Kumar Subba renowned writer handed over the trophy, memento and khada to the felicitating journalist. Which is the day of equinox, when day and night is equal and also the beginning of spring season is celebrated as the1st Day of Baha’i New year by the Baha’is of all over the world? The day is the symbol of fellowship, brotherhood and equality. The program started at 11.00 am with the prayers and reading Holy writings. Mrs. Rupa Devi Pradhan, Principal of Baha’i School, Tadong presented enriching talk on the significance of Naw Ruz. This was followed by beautiful bhajans, songs, and dances by children, youths and adults. To make the program more colourful there were varieties of games and fun. Yog Guru Baba Ramdev returnes from Sikkim

During the visit he interacted with media where he expressed his happiness for people of Sikkim, he said ‘People of Sikkim are living in Heaven and they should feel proud about it!’. Regional Community Development Seminar for The Bharat Scouts held at Majhitar,

Rangpo, 30 January:  Five days long the Community Development Seminar for the Bharat Scouts & Guides, North-East Region organized by NE Region, Guwahati commenced today at Himalayan Home, Khani Khola, Majhitar Rangpo, Sikkim. A total of 50 Nos of participants from Meghalaya, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, and Mizoram, with 20 nos of Rovers & rangers from Sikkim arriving yesterday and registered themselves. "Sikkim Gas Plant", Nainaam Industry located at Makha, 12 Km from Singtam

 by Sanjay Agarwal 25 Dec, Rangpo:  Nainaam Industry, located at Makha, 12 Km from Singtam, boasts of placing Sikkim as a milestone, one step ahead in the self-reliant state in India through its very own gas production plant in the coming days.  Oxygen and Nitrogen, which are essential life-saving gasses for humans and industries, will be produced in Sikkim in January 2010. Sikkim depends on Siliguri, West Bengal, from where the gas is supplied. There is a frequent shortage of gas sometimes, sometimes due to the closure of the highway, which causes delays in arriving at the appropriate time for useful purposes.  According to the company CEO, Mr NK Agarwal, 90% of the plant components and fittings are being completed. Within the next couple of days, 10% will be completed, thereby allowing for final commissioning for a full-fledged production plant as a major production unit.
