Sikkim defeats Mizoram by ten wickets in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

Sikkim registered a consecutive win today against Mizoram in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at ACA Cricket ground, Mulapadu, Andhra Pradesh. Mizoram won the toss and choose to bat first. In the first innings, they scored 109 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. Uday Kaul was the highest scorer for the side, scoring 69 runs. Karthik CA took 2 wickets and Sumit Singh and Mandup Bhutia took 1 wicket each. In the second innings, Sikkim chased the target in 17.4 overs without losing a wicket and won the match by 10 wickets. Karthik CA scored 61 runs and Liyan Khan scored 48 runs. Sikkim earned 4 points for the win and is holding a total of 8 points and standing in the 5 th position in the points table, ahead of Mizoram, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.  Sikkim will be playing against Vidarbha tomorrow at ACA Stadium, Vijayawada.

Sikkim boys defeats Arunachal Pradesh in Syed Mushtaq Ali (Twenty20)

  Sikkim’s senior men’s team is currently playing Syed Mushtaq Ali (Twenty20) at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh and today during their match against Arunachal Pradesh they won it by 9 wickets. Andhra won the toss and choose to bat first. In the first innings, Sikkim bowlers built pressure on the opponent from the beginning as the opening pair returned to the pavilion early and also managed to take wickets at a regular interval. Arunachal were all-out for 90 runs in 19.1 overs. Akash Luitel the debutant in the senior team has taken 4 wickets, and MD Saptula, Kranthi Kumar, Kranthi CA and Sumit Singh took 1 wicket each. In the second innings, Sikkim had the opening partnership of 20 runs, with Karthik CA scoring 14 runs, Liyan Khan 37 runs and remained not-out, and Ashish Thapa 38 runs not-out and chased the target of 91 runs in 14.1 overs. Sikkim will be playing their next match against Mizoram on 8 th November and the team is positively looking forward to it.

Bihar defeats Sikkim in the second match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021

Chennai, 13 January: The second match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was played today against Bihar at SSN College Ground, Chennai today, where Sikkim won the toss and chose to bat first.  Left to Right : Md Ronak, Rajiv Malay Darjee and Md Saptulla Receiving The Sikkim Cap From Captain Robin Bist In the first innings, Sikkim scored 110 runs in 20 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. The local boys Nilesh Lamichaney and Ashish Thapa gave a good start with the opening partnership of 43 runs. Varun Sood was the highest scorer for the side with 28 runs, Nilesh Lamichaney 24 runs, Ashish Thapa 22 runs, Anureet Singh 18 runs, Palzor Tamang 4 runs, Lee Yong Lepcha 3 runs, Robin Bist and Mandup Bhutia 1 run each. The turning track helped the opponent bowler Ashutosh Aman, who took 4 crucial wickets. Sikkim defeats Mizoram in the Inaugural Match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021

Chennai, 11 January: Sikkim won their match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2020-21 against Mizoram by 10 wickets at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai today.    Due to ground condition, the match was reduced from Twenty20 format to five overs. Sikkim won the toss and choose to field first. In the first innings, Mizoram scored 47 runs with the loss of 3 wickets, where Captain KB Pawan scored 27 runs of 13 balls, Pratik Desai 10 runs off 5 balls, Taruwar Kholi 6 runs off 7 balls. Varun Sood and Anureet Singh took 1 wicket each for Sikkim and a run-out was done by Mandup Bhutia of Pratik Desai.  In the second innings, Sikkim made 50 runs in 3.4 overs without any loss of wicket and sealed the match. Anureet Singh scored 28 runs off 12 balls and Varun Sood 21 runs off 10 balls.
