  From the office of the Joint Director Sub-Divisional Education Office Rangpo Pakyong District  Pakyong, August 25: Shri K B Chettri -Joint Director, Rangpo Subdivision Education Department inaugurated the newly constructed, one-roomed School Building of Upper Pachak Pry. School today, which was constructed by the SMC and by Community participation to accommodate the students of kindergarten. In order to thank those who have contributed physically and financially, the School has organised a short thanksgiving program. Shri K B Chettri addressed the gatherings and also extended thanks to Shri Bhopal Rai, the School land donor and thanked all the members of SMC and the public as well for their generous contribution to constructing the school building. 06.08.22: A Block Cum Sub-Divisional Level Competition, under AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV to commemorate the 75th glorious year of India's Independence, was held at BAC Duga, Rangpo Sub-Division of Pakyong District. SINGTAM , DECEMBER 23:   The Annual General Meeting of the Association for Heads of Government Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools of Sikkim ( AHGSSS )  was held on December 22nd  at River View Resort near Jalipul .   The meeting was presided over by the President of the Association Mr.. KB Chettri , Smt. Tshering Kee Chingappa , Joint Director, East, was the Guest of Honour. The AGM was attended by 118 school Heads from across the state. SINGTAM, NOVEMBER 9: As part of the regular co-curricular activities Singtam SSS organized the semifinal round of singing competition ‘School Idol’ on November 7 th , 2015. The competition had started from the beginning of the academic session. Semi-final round featured 9 participants. YB Pradhan, Government Contractor was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Gangaa Mukhiya, State Awardee musician was the judge of the competition.  Other guests included BK Rai and SN Pandey, SMC members. The contestants entertained the gathered audience that included Principal, teachers and students. Five contestants were selected for the final round. The program was successfully concluded with a vote of thanks by KB Chettri, Principal.

SINGTAM, OCTOBER 8: Special camp of National Service Scheme volunteers of Singtam SSS was held at Sakyong Chisopani JHS held on October 7, 2015. More than 100 students from Singtam SSS, the visiting school along with KB Chettri, Principal, M K Singh and Jessica M Tamang, Programme officers performed cultural, educational and social activities at the school. The main motive for organizing such programmes was to bring awareness among the students and to teach them the motive of volunteering and understanding.
