This is the photo presentation of the making of the beautification of Bhanu Udhyan, Singtam and the installation of the new life-size copper statue of Adi Kavi Bhanu Bhakta.

Rangpo has an emotional attachment to me; my mother was a government school teacher, and I spent the first two years of my life there. Rangpo Government School (1980) This photo presentation is from a series of photographs dating to 1910 attributed to Absolute Vintage Photos. Rangpo, a business hub and a historic town, is today a vital border town of Sikkim, the gateway to eastern Sikkim. Since the monarchy days, the vehicles have stopped being checked, and foreigners need the required documents even to this day.

Sikkim is a landlocked Indian state nestled in the Himalayas. It is the least populous state in India and the second-smallest in area after Goa.The thumb-shaped state borders Nepal in the west, the Tibet Autonomous Region of China to the north and the east and Bhutan in the southeast. The Indian state of West Bengal borders Sikkim to its south.Despite its small area of 7,096 square kilometers (2,740 sq mi), Sikkim is geographically diverse due to its location in the Himalayas. The climate ranges from subtropical to high alpine. Kangchenjunga, the world's third-highest peak, is located on the border of Sikkim with Nepal. Sikkim is a popular tourist destination owing to its culture, scenic beauty and biodiversity.

Wow!! Was the first word that came from my heart. Watching Hope Cooke speak was nothing more than a dream come true. As a student of Sikkim History, my passion for learning more about my state grows with me with each passing day.  Today, I am more than happy to see our former Gyalmo speak in Sikkim. I might be among the first few to have seen this video; so far, 14 views have been recorded.
