Dongeythang Primary School Celebrates Postponed Teacher's Day, Honours State Awardee Karma Rinzing Bhutia

8.09.25 – Dongeythang Primary School celebrated its postponed Teacher's Day with great joy and enthusiasm, honouring its own Karma Rinzing Bhutia , a primary teacher recently awarded the Sikkim State Teachers Day Award . The celebration had been delayed to allow for his recognition by the Education Department, Government of Sikkim , at a state-level ceremony at Manan Kendra, Gangtok . Upon his return, Mr. Bhutia received a warm welcome from Senior Teacher Bhim Prasad Dahal and his colleagues. Highlights of the day-long program included students, parents, and staff offering traditional Khadas to the awardee. Both students and teachers contributed to the program with a variety of engaging cultural performances. The event commenced with the lighting of a lamp and the offering of a Khada to a portrait of Late Dr. S. Teacher's Day celebration at Riverine Elementary School

Biki Rai, Principal, Riverine Elementary School, Rongli was the Chief Guest of the day while rest of the teachers and non teaching staff was the Special Guest of the day. The day long program was held at Community Hall. The major highlight of the day was the students collectively gifting two water filters to the school that was received by their Principal. Shneha Pradhan, Meghna Gurung, Sumnima Rai and Dawa Gurung were the host of the day. Principal and teachers lighted a lamp and offered khadas to portrait of Dr. S. Radhakrisnan. Students of class vi presented the welcome song. Special Teacher Day song was performed by the students of classes’ vii and viii. Santos Rai, Vice Principal in his speech briefed about the importance of the day.   Students offered khadas and gifts to the teachers. Teacher's Day celebration at Sakyong Chisopani JHS

Satish Chandra Pradhan, Headmaster, and Miss Rejala Rai, School Captain of Sakyong Chisopani JHS jointly cut a cake to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. S Radhakrishnan, former President of India. The cultural program presented by the students was the highlight of the day.  The day started with the paying of homage to the picture frame of Dr. S Radhakrishnan by the Headmaster. Then a cake was cut thereafter students offered khadas and gifts to the teachers. The cultural program had participation from both Primary students and Upper Primary students. Amisha Bishwakarma, a student of Class vii was the host of the day.

Dalapchand SS celebrates Teacher’s Day

Dalapchand, September 5 : Dalapchand SS observed the 124 th Teacher’s Day celebration at its school premises in a colourful event. The students of the school had organized a cultural festive occasion that included songs and dance performances. ST Bhutia, Head Master of the school along with his staffs was present on the occasion. Ravi Pradhan, Cultural Captain of the school was the host of the day. Prava Poudhyal, Discipline Captain presented a welcome speech. Inter-House group dance was the major highlight of the day. Araj Gurung, Ravi Pradhan, Prerna Rai, Rohan Chettri and Ujjwal Rai entertained the crowd with soulful songs. UN Mishra, Senior Teacher of the school gave brief information on the life of S Radhakrishnan on whose birth anniversary Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India. ST Bhutia, Headmaster of the school in his speech talked about the relationship between the students and the teachers. Bipen Pradhan gave the vote of thanks. Lunch was also arranged for the teachers.
