Shri Bimal Lamichaney is the new Brand Ambassador of Sikkim Swachh Bharat Mission. In a recently held program at Dochum JHS   at 42-Sirwani GPU at Khamdong. Lamichaney was presented with an official letter from the hand of Shri Ganga Prasad, Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, in the presence of Shri. Sotai Kri, Brand Ambassador, North East India. Shri Bimal Lamichaney is the former President of Sirwani Chisopani GPU. Shri Praja Pradhan was also announced as the Brand Ambassador of Gangtok District under Sikkim Swachh Bharat Mission on the same program.

SINGTAM, JULY 08 : Swatcha Bharat Summer Internship Orientation program by ten students of Himalayan Pharmacy Institute, Mazhitar in association with Shantinagar Goan Sudhar Samiti was held today Shantinagar, Singtam. The orientation program included rally from Badminton Court at Rani Khola Walkway till Singtam Bazaar old Iron Bridge, followed by awareness drive on Sanitation and cleanness drive. The cleanness drive at Rani Khola Walkway had collection of two sacks of wastes that included mostly chips wrappers, broken glasses and even sanitary materials. Krishna Chettri, President congratulated the Pharmacy students for visiting Shantinagar with good vision. GANGTOK, NOVEMBER 7: Praja Pradhan directed ‘Euta Kura’, a short film on “Swachh Bharat Swachh Sikkim” and ‘A New Tourism Destination in Sikkim’ a documentary based on bungee jumping is being screened at Manan Kendra, Gangtok on December 17. The show is organised by Sikkim Newar Guthi Youth Affairs. Pradhan is a popular film personality from Sikkim who had so far been associated with more than 30 Nepali films, documentaries, short films, music videos and others. “Euta Kura- Sikkim Pledge for Swach Bharat Mission” is shot at different parts of Sikkim with performances from local artists as well as popular personalities of Sikkim including Chunilal, Ghimirey, Kishor Dungmali, Gopal Baraily (MLA) and Timoty Rai to name few. The short film pledges an effort from Sikkim to make our small state ‘Clean and Green’ which is also a vision of our Hon’ble Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling. SINGTAM , NOVEMBER Members of Gorkha Ex-Servicemen's Welfare Association and Resettlement CO-OP. Society Ltd. conducted a sanitation program at the Primary Health Centre, Rongli , on October 30. The cleanliness drive was in support of the nationwide Swatchha Abhiyan .  The press release states that the members of the cleanliness drive were over the age of seventy. They cleaned the surroundings of the Rongli PHC and the roadside below.
