After sharing the
points in the first match of the Col. C. K. Nayudu Trophy against Pondicherry
as the match was drawn due to rain, Sikkim outplayed Nagaland in the second
match played at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima, Nagaland today by 3 wickets.
It was a very
interesting match as the match continued until the last day. Both side gave
their best in both innings. Nagaland won the toss and chose to bat first.
In their first innings, Nagaland made 280 runs off 110.4 overs, where one of
their players, named Wahid, scored 121 runs, the highest of the innings. Chandra Bahadur
Chettri and Mohammad Saptula took 3 wickets each, Dinesh Kumar Dhobi took 2
wickets, Chandan Kumar and Harit Chauhan took 1 wicket each. In Sikkim’s first
innings, 310 runs were scored, of which Parth Palawat scored 110 runs, Mohammad
Shahbaz 52 runs, Harit Chauhan 46 runs, Akash Luitel 35 runs, and Chandra Bahadur
Chettri 25 runs in 110.3 overs, taking the lead of 30 runs.
In the second
innings, Nagaland was all out for 196 runs, setting the target of 166 runs. It
was Saptula’s brilliant spell that thrashed the opponent, taking 8 wickets, and
Harit bagged 2 wickets. Sikkim reached the target in 46.3 overs,s scoring 168
runs. Harit scored the innings' highest of 44 runs, Shahbaz 37 runs, Saptula 35
runs, Parth 16 runs, and Sanjay Chettri 11 runs.

altogether, where the boys played well with both bat and ball. The trainer and
physio of the team equally share this victory for their continuous effort in keeping the players fit on and off the field. We are looking for the next match
