Gratitude for the Sikkim State Commendation Certificate Award 2023

05.09.23: I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the State Government of Sikkim, CEO Madam, Samagra Siksha AD Sir (Gangtok District, Education Department), AD Sir, AEO Sir, and CRC Madam and staff (Education Department, Khamdong BAC) and the selection committee of the Award for honouring me with the prestigious Sikkim State Commendation Certificate Award 2023 during the Teachers Day Celebration held at Manan Kendra, Gangtok.

On this auspicious occasion, I would like to express my thanks to my former colleagues, students, and Headmasters of Burung JHS, Dalapchand SS, and Sakyong Chisopani JHS, where I had rendered 18 years of service. It was a privilege to work with you all and contribute to improving our schools and students.

I'd like to thank my colleagues at Dongeythang Primary School for their warm welcome and for making me part of the team so easily. I have big dreams, and I'm confident that together, with your support, we'll help our students excel.

This recognition would not have been possible without the invaluable guidance, unwavering support, and inspiration I received from various mentors over the years. They instilled in me a profound curiosity and a deep love for learning, qualities that I carry with me every single day. I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my family for their continuous support and guidance.

JANHA BAGCHA TEESTA RANGIT

This was a national song of Sikkim sung in the Nepali language during the monarchy system. During the merger with India, the song got banned and later re-released. Two words on the 8th para, which earlier said 'Rajah rah Rani,' were replaced with "Janmah bhumi."     This song was dedicated to the King and Queen of Sikkim. Rongli my birthplace

BY SHITAL PRADHAN A small hamlet in an eastern side Silent raush on its way, The old silk route, More older it look Upon which I stay, Hey that’s Rongli, Rongli my birthplace Years went by, years dried up, Yet the small village is as it was, Silent, peaceful and introvert Today’s picture of Rongli, Houses as station bogie, Looks a cradle, from Chujachen, Upon which the blue sky, As if I can touch thee, Roaring River, As the legend we hear, Still watch with glee, The terror of 1890 somewhat forgotten, Yet another terrorizing moment, 68 was the year… 1968, When sky too wasn’t pleased. That was Rongli, Rongli of the past. Playing along the Baar-Pepal tree, Hiding in the Shivalaya, Watching videos and aloft Is a decent memory, now? Sweet time in treasure, Yet when I am in Rongli, I am happy, in whither sweet. Rongli my birthplace !
